Jordan joined the Vision team as an Administrative Coordinator after being a stay-at-home dad to his three children. He graduated with a degree in German Studies with a minor in Swedish from the University of Minnesota in 2013. And he still loves to geek out on Germanics and etymology.
Jordan is a lifelong Minnesotan and resident of the Twin Cities. He loves his home state and feels as much at home “Up-North,” in the Lake Country of Western Minnesota (Lake Minnewaska and Waterama!), or in “the Cities.”
Jordan and his wife have two sons and a daughter, and they recently moved to Elk River. Through his work at Vision, he feels he is contributing to the amazing growth of local economy in the Northwest suburbs, and making them an even better place to live.
Why do you love your job? The variety. Every day is a learning experience. Each client, each candidate (and each co-worker) is unique. And while meeting their needs is challenging, it’s incredibly rewarding, too.
What do you do outside of work? I love spending time with my family. It was a great privilege staying home with two of them, and now it’s exciting to be a working dad. I hope that my wife and I are providing them with great role models and showing them the rewards of working hard – and having fun!
Favorite Book: I love just about anything about European history (emphasis on Germany, Scandinavia, and Central and Eastern Europe).
Motto you live by: Life is short; never take a day for granted
What is something people don’t know about you? I’m a bit of a pessimist – but am never dour or humorless. I always expect the worst and am surprised when things turn out better than expected.
