Day 4: Simple
Sometimes it’s important to keep it simple, so let’s cut straight to some stories:
- Our employee, Matt, turned into our customer – now he’s got an employee who works PT for him so he asked us to help him fulfill the remaining hours and we got him into a gig that makes his week full! FUN!
- Mitchell was offered a position and through the hiring process and some nuances (this is always so hard to not go into detail!) we learned of an unfortunate error that would cause the offer to be withdrawn. Mitch has had a rough year; he’s lost multiple family members including his own brother. His excitement for this new opportunity was next level until everything came to a screeching halt. Until, the customer came back with a solution to hold on to this position with a minor set back of start date – his recruiter: “My heart is so happy, I can’t even”
- From one of our very own: “Curt is a former employee. He stopped into the office several months after his assignment ended. He was conversational and pleasant, but he also needed to talk and be heard about several things. Some were work related while some things were personal; angry exchanges with his father and worry for his mom for starters. He laughed, groused, and cried; I listened. For an hour. He needs more than we can give, but at least he got a listening ear. And that’s something rare and valuable about Vision. When time and circumstance allow, we know we are empowered and encouraged to recognize our humanity with one another by hearing someone’s story – even when it has absolutely nothing to do with assignments or business. We care on a personal level, and it shows.”
