Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Sewer to join a growing production team. This entry-level opportunity is designed for someone interested in learning industrial sewing and developing hands-on manufacturing skills.
The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career working with a variety of durable and specialty fabrics. Previous sewing experience is not required, and training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn to operate industrial sewing machines safely and effectively.
- Assist with sewing operations and production processes.
- Work with a variety of materials, including vinyl-coated polyester and solution-dyed acrylic fabrics.
- Follow work instructions, patterns, and production guidelines.
- Prepare fabrics and materials for sewing and assembly.
- Handle, organize, and stage materials throughout the production process.
- Inspect completed work to ensure products meet established quality standards.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when working with premium materials.
- Learn proper sewing techniques and production methods from experienced team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines.
- Support team members and perform additional production duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in learning industrial sewing and manufacturing skills.
- Previous sewing or manufacturing experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn how to operate industrial sewing equipment.
- Interest in long-term career growth within sewing or manufacturing.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating sewing equipment.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing and production environment working with fabrics and industrial sewing equipment.
- Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills.
- Repetitive sewing, material handling, and production tasks.
- Hands-on environment requiring consistent attention to detail and product quality.
- Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as applicable.
- Must consistently follow established safety and production procedures.
