Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Anodize Line Operator to join a precision metal finishing team. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring the anodizing line, following established processes, maintaining production quality, and ensuring parts are processed according to specifications.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of line operator experience, a stable work history, strong attention to detail, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor anodizing line equipment according to established processes and production requirements.
- Follow work orders, process instructions, specifications, and production schedules.
- Monitor parts throughout the anodizing process to ensure proper processing and consistent quality.
- Verify parts, materials, and production requirements before beginning each job.
- Perform required line checks and monitor equipment and process conditions.
- Identify and communicate production, equipment, or quality concerns.
- Make appropriate adjustments within established operating procedures.
- Inspect components throughout the process for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.
- Use computer systems to review work orders, enter production information, and track jobs.
- Perform basic math calculations related to production processes.
- Work with rackers and other production team members to maintain proper workflow and production efficiency.
- Handle metal components carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
- Maintain an organized flow of parts throughout the production process.
- Follow established metal finishing, quality, and processing procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
- Support team members and perform additional production responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of line operator experience required.
- Previous anodizing, metal finishing, chemical processing, or related manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Stable work history required.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak clearly in English.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, specifications, written procedures, and production instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, position, and handle metal components and production materials.
- Ability to safely work around industrial equipment and metal finishing processes.
Working Conditions:
- Metal finishing and manufacturing environment.
- Regular interaction with anodizing line equipment, metal components, production racks, and industrial equipment.
- Exposure to typical metal finishing processes, chemicals, manufacturing noise, and production activity.
- Fast-paced environment requiring consistent attention to process requirements, safety, and product quality.
- Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must consistently follow established chemical handling, production, quality, and workplace safety procedures.
