Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Assignment Length: 3–4 months

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Materials Associate | Parts Picker to support manufacturing and inventory operations. This position is responsible for accurately picking parts for assembly cells, stocking and maintaining inventory, completing cycle counts, and ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed.
The ideal candidate has previous parts picking or inventory experience in a manufacturing environment, is comfortable using computers and multiple software screens, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy and organization.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick and prepare parts and materials for assembly cells according to production requirements. 
  • Accurately identify parts, quantities, and inventory locations. 
  • Stock and organize materials in designated inventory areas. 
  • Maintain inventory according to established company policies and procedures. 
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels. 
  • Verify quantities and part information before materials are delivered to production. 
  • Use computer systems to locate, track, and update inventory information. 
  • Navigate between multiple computer screens and programs as needed. 
  • Communicate material shortages, discrepancies, and inventory concerns to appropriate team members. 
  • Maintain an organized and efficient materials area. 
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and inventory procedures. 
  • Train to operate a forklift and overhead crane as needed. 
  • Assist with additional materials and inventory responsibilities as assigned. 
 
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • 6 months to 1 year of parts picking, cycle counting, inventory, or related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. 
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills with the ability to navigate between multiple screens and programs. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Basic math skills and ability to work accurately with numbers. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to understand and accurately follow work instructions. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability and willingness to train on forklift and overhead crane operation as needed. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow. 
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. 
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, and perform material handling activities. 
  • Ability to safely move parts and materials between inventory and production areas. 
 
Working Conditions:
  • Manufacturing, materials, and inventory environment. 
  • Frequent movement of parts and materials between inventory and assembly areas. 
  • Regular computer use for inventory tracking and materials transactions. 
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment and typical production environment noise. 
  • Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
  • May operate a forklift or overhead crane after completing required training.
