Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pick/Packer to support manufacturing and warehouse operations in Ham Lake, MN. This position is responsible for accurately picking, organizing, packing, and preparing parts and materials while using computer-based systems to track and process orders.
The ideal candidate has at least one year of relevant experience, is highly comfortable working with computers, learns new systems quickly, and can maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick parts, materials, and products according to work orders and system instructions.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and other order information for accuracy.
- Pack and prepare completed orders for shipment or movement to the appropriate department.
- Use computer systems to locate orders, enter information, and update inventory or order status.
- Accurately complete required paperwork and electronic documentation.
- Label, organize, and stage products and materials in designated areas.
- Verify picked and packed items against order requirements before completion.
- Assist with inventory organization and maintaining accurate stock locations.
- Communicate discrepancies, shortages, damaged materials, or other concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Follow established quality, safety, and material handling procedures.
- Assist with additional warehouse, shipping, receiving, or production support duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of picking, packing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, manufacturing, or related experience required.
- Strong computer skills are required.
- Must be comfortable learning and navigating new computer programs and systems quickly.
- Ability to accurately enter, retrieve, and verify information using computer-based systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, part numbers, and order information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly.
- Dependable with consistent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely handle and move parts, products, and packaging materials as required.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to production activity, equipment, parts, and materials.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and repetitive material handling.
- Regular use of computers and other order-processing or inventory systems.
- Must maintain accuracy and attention to detail while working efficiently in a production-focused environment.
- Overtime may be required based on production needs.
- Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as applicable.
