Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Rotary Prep Technician to support rotary cutting operations in a production environment. This position is responsible for preparing materials, setting up tooling, reviewing job files, and preparing parts to help ensure an efficient production workflow and high-quality finished products.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable using both hand tools and computer systems, and able to maintain accuracy while working in a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open, review, and adjust job files within the computer system
- Prepare rotary dies using hand tools, drills, pinching tools, and mallets
- Clean and deburr parts in preparation for final processing
- Organize prepared parts and materials to support efficient production flow
- Read and follow production instructions accurately
- Use measuring tools to verify parts and maintain quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Follow all company quality and safety procedures
- Assist with additional production duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools
- Ability to use measuring tools such as digital calipers
- Dependable, motivated, and safety-conscious
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing approximately 20–50 pounds
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Manual dexterity necessary to safely operate hand tools and production equipment
Preferred
- Previous manufacturing, machining, or machine operation experience
- Previous experience working with drills, mallets, measuring tools, or similar production equipment
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with regular exposure to machinery, tools, and moderate noise
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, reaching, and hands-on production work throughout the shift
- Regular use of computers, hand tools, measuring equipment, and production materials
- Fast-paced environment requiring consistent attention to safety, accuracy, and quality
- Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and gloves
