Madelynn attended PSEO at St. Cloud State University where she obtained her associate of arts degree, then later transferred to North Dakota State University to finish her bachelor’s degree in communications (journalism) and a minor in sociology. In the spring of her senior year, Maddie had an opportunity to intern for five months here with Vision, where she discovered a passion for the work we do and what we stand for. Upon her college graduation, she accepted a full-time position and began her professional career here. Maddie loves spending time usually reading or traveling alongside her husband, Aaron.

Why do you love your job? I enjoy my job wholeheartedly because I have the privilege of getting to know a person and influencing a monumental time in their life; it is making a difference and caring for people in a way I would have never thought of before.

What do you do outside of work? I enjoy cozying up at home and reading alongside my two puppies! I also spend a majority of my time watching my husband, and sometimes my younger brother, play hockey!

What are your hobbies? I love to travel, but even more so, I love the process of traveling (minus the rushed packing moments)–so the airports, the car rides, the gas station snack stops, and all that jazz make me a giddy gal!

My favorite sport: As much as I can have a love-hate relationship with it… hockey, for sure. I did play lacrosse throughout my high school years and loved that sport!

My favorite movie: My favorite movie is The Longest Ride.

My favorite book: Any book by Elisabeth Elliot is an easy 5/5! I would have to say that Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers and Adorned by Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth are up there on my list of favorites.

Motto you live by: Galatians 2:20

What is something people don’t know about you? I have a blog that I like to work on in my free time–I love to write!
