Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Production Line Operator to support a semi-automated production line processing food ingredients and dry materials. This hands-on position is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, handling materials, performing quality checks, and maintaining accurate production documentation.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a physically active manufacturing environment. Previous forklift and manufacturing experience, along with a strong commitment to food safety and quality, are important for success in this role.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor semi-automated production equipment used to process food ingredients and dry materials. 
  • Load, unload, and handle production materials throughout the manufacturing process. 
  • Monitor gauges, equipment, and production processes to ensure proper operation. 
  • Make basic process adjustments according to established procedures. 
  • Perform basic lab analysis and food testing as required. 
  • Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure products meet established specifications. 
  • Complete production documentation accurately and thoroughly. 
  • Verify container labels and production information for accuracy. 
  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials and products as required. 
  • Identify and communicate equipment, production, or quality concerns. 
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards throughout the production area. 
  • Follow established food safety, quality, and sanitation procedures. 
  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain consistent production flow and meet daily goals. 
  • Properly wear all required PPE, including hairnets, gloves, smocks, masks, and other protective equipment. 
  • Support additional production responsibilities as assigned. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English. 
  • Strong basic arithmetic and measurement skills. 
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred. 
  • Previous industrial, agricultural, food production, or manufacturing experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of food quality and safety standards preferred. 
  • Ability to accurately perform basic lab testing and complete production documentation. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • Ability to monitor equipment and recognize potential production issues. 
  • Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance. 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a production team. 
  • Comfortable working in an environment where allergens including wheat, dairy, and soy may be present. 
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, load, and handle materials weighing up to 55 pounds. 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and remain physically active throughout the workday. 
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive movements. 
  • Ability to safely operate production machinery, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment. 
 
Working Conditions:
  • Manufacturing and food-processing environment with potential exposure to dust, noise, production materials, allergens, and varying temperatures. 
  • Regular operation of semi-automated production and material-handling equipment. 
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive movement. 
  • Physically active position involving regular handling of materials and production equipment. 
  • Required adherence to food quality, sanitation, and safety procedures. 
  • Required use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
  • Overtime may be available or required based on production needs.
