Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to support warehouse receiving operations in Otsego, MN. This position is responsible for receiving incoming freight, scanning and labeling products, verifying quantities, and preparing materials for stocking or additional processing.
The ideal candidate has previous warehouse or material handling experience, is comfortable using RF scanners, and has strong attention to detail when counting, scanning, and tracking inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use RF scanners to accurately scan and receive incoming freight.
- Unload, sort, and organize incoming materials as needed.
- Break down boxes and prepare materials for stocking or processing.
- Label incoming shipments and products for accurate tracking.
- Count, scan, and verify incoming items to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies or damaged materials.
- Follow established receiving and inventory procedures.
- Read and follow detailed written and verbal work instructions.
- Prioritize assigned tasks to support efficient warehouse operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and requirements.
- Assist with additional receiving, material handling, and warehouse responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience, particularly in receiving or shipping, preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners or scan guns required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting and receiving products.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions in English.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Steel-toe boots required.
- Dependable with consistent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to periodically lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the workday.
- Exposure to warehouse noise, equipment, moving materials, and warehouse traffic.
- Regular use of RF scanners and other warehouse equipment.
- Required use of steel-toe boots and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Must be able to safely perform receiving and material handling duties while maintaining established productivity and accuracy standards.
