12 Days of Christmas Stories 2019 – Christmas Day

By December 26, 2019 12 Days of Christmas

Merry Christmas 😊

Faith

Each year I feel as though Christmas is an emotional time of year; this year more than ever. I think about my nephew, who is soon to be a dad, and my heart smiles because of the indescribable feeling of the unknown that they have to look forward to. It’s a beautiful gift, isn’t it? Never in my wildest dreams could I fathom comprehending this phase of life.

I want to tell you about Matt – and that’s his real name bc I have permission to use it 😊

Matt’s wife is one of our Vision Rockstars. One day while at work, she received a phone call – he had lost his job after having been there 12 years. There were tears, there was fear, there was confusion. Immediately his wife connected him with us, and although he was reserved about the process and going this route, he was open minded. He came in with his kiddos and they played and colored in our conference room. He interviewed with someone on our team and he was visibly at ease – later stating, “It felt like I was talking to my best friend – she truly cared about me and what I was looking for” With thoughtful action, and activity we had him out interviewing in no time at all. He was offered a position rather quickly and has since fallen in love with his new career, found stability in the hours and scheduling for his family, and is over the moon happy. His wife is elated that everything came full circle and told me she believes in signs and is certain she is in her job so she could be a piece of the puzzle of him getting his new job.

Sometimes seeing things through the eyes of others can be so helpful. Helpful in creating clarity and encouraging us to have faith and continue to comprehend the world around us and move forward.

Today is Christmas Day. And I’m going to unapologetically speak about my faith. Faith can be difficult to describe and difficult to comprehend, but we practice it anyway and it’s how we move on. As a new mom I had/have faith, as my nephew enters this new phase of life he needs faith, and as Matt began this new career path – he had to have faith. I’m thankful today that I’m surrounded by people who continue to help me grow in the faith arena and challenge me to be a better version of myself every day.

Many blessings to you and yours, cheers to the new year ahead 😊
