12 Days of Christmas Stories is back for the 6th year 😊
Beginning.
What started out as letters to our team internally to wrap up the year and celebrate THEIR wins has grown to a broader audience. My brother used to tell me he loved and hated these emails – some days he’d cry, others he’d ignore because they were too long 😊 It’s my sincere hope that you find just one story that makes you smile, inspires you, or even reaches out and touches your heart this season.
- A contact at our customer we had worked with for over 12 years moved on to a new opportunity – it was exciting to visit his new facility and reconnect. As he was showing us around it was evident from the things he was saying about safety and policy and more that we ‘grew up’ together – and it’s so fun to pause and think what was and what is.
- Manny walked in to our office one day looking to begin his career – was confident he could do anything, but lacked experience. With a hop skip and a jump we were getting him a job – unfortunately, everything came to halt when we learned about his background from before he was 18. With strong communication and a commitment to working hard, he’s thriving and we’re here for it!
- Our intern was brand new to the workplace this spring and she jumped right in when a candidate arrived for an interview and their recruiter was stuck in a snowstorm. Without skipping a beat, our intern hopped in the interview (she had never done one before)! She learned about what his skills were and where he wanted to grow – we knew the right place for him. He started without an interview and LOVED it. He loves the people and connections and every time we talk to him he asks how everyone who helped him that day is doing – he’s learning, he’s growing and he’s thriving. Go you, Ian!
Everywhere you look there are headlines of scandals, people cheating others and themselves, and in the broader sense – poor choices. It’s sensationalized in the media and I’m here to carve out a smidgen of time to share the GOOD as a breath of fresh air. This is just the beginning, and they’ll be coming at you “One Person at a Time” ….because that’s how we make a difference in the world😊
